Having designed over 200 top golf courses throughout the world, Gary Player Design has received numerous awards. In fact, the top 3 rated courses in South Africa all bear the Black Knight signature.
Gary and Vivienne raised their family here over a span of 25 years and he is deeply passionate about Blair Atholl. Working alongside the Developer, Gary was intimately involved with the layout of the championship course which is ideally characterised by the natural elevation combined with the rolling hills and ravines sloping down to the Crocodile River.

Gary openly admits that this course is closest to his heart.

The Blair Atholl Golf Course opened to rave reviews in April 2007. Not surprisingly, this led to the course being ranked second place overall in Compleat Golfer’s 2008/2009 review of South African golf courses. It also won the 2009 Golf Digest Best New Course award.
